As devotees of leisurely dining, the Heitz Family gave all of us a reason to linger with the introduction of their Ports.
Inspired by his travels in Portugal, David planted eleven ancient Portuguese varieties in the early 1990s that are flourishing in their Napa Valley home. In 1994, Heitz Cellars introduced Ink Grade Port --- an American classic from the inside out with amazingly smooth, rich flavors and a distinctive label glazed on the bottle.
Our Grignolino Port has also been a favorite since 1989. This deep ruby-hued wine delivers lush, fruity sweetness with a zing of orange peel.
